She's in HEAVEN!

I took the kids to an area "'zoo" one day this past summer.  It was called a zoo but they charged an arm and leg and didn't really have that many animals.  But, my little animal lover was in heeeeaaaven.  You could buy feed for the barn animals and goats bottles to feed to the goats.  I think she would have stayed all day if I would have let her.  But, we couldn't do that because little man was seriously having a water day in the puddles right outside the pig pens...  Splish Splash, he was soaked!  And that is just a little bit yucky in my book!

J's Birthday Party

We had some sweet friends come over and celebrate J's Birthday with us.  We didn't have a huge party, but he did want his friend Josh to come over.  The share a love for Cars so we had a cars party.  He is seriously obsessed with the characters on that movie.  He doesn't like to watch it very often but seems to think the the characters are indeed cool!  We grilled burgers and had cake and sang a happy tune!  Happy 3rd birthday Buddy!

Wanna see some cute and dirty kids!?

We went blackberry pickin' and I had my hands full.  Didn't take any pictures of the actual event but here is the dog on the way out.  G was smitten of course!  While we were picking G walked over and climbed inside the box of my friend and made blackberry juice out of all her hard work!!!  I felt so bad.  They were pretty yummy.  I guess it is almost apple pickin time!  I love it up here.  You could never do that in Texas...

J's Actual Birthday

Whoa I am behind.  We celebrated J's actual birthday at Chuck-e-cheese.  The kids love that place!  I think it is just okay and secretly go around trying to figure out what games give you the most tickets the most times.  So that my kids can bring home that junk that I secretly throw away... makes sense, right!  I personally love Skee Ball.  That games has always been so fun for me, but it seems I am a lot taller now and it makes it pretty hard!  J had a great day and felt special!

Swim Lessons

With the lease on our house came a pool membership to the neighborhood pool.  Last summer we didn't use the pool much since we were getting moved in with g being so little, going to the pool was a little bit tricky.  This summer we signed the older kids up for some swim lessons.  J has always been terrified of the water so my only expectation was for him to become more comfortable.  I think that was achieved!  It is so hard to work with one of your kids one on one when you have two others to think/worry about.  It is the never ending balancing act :)  He had a good time and it was nice for him to have something just for him.  C also took lessons, she is a very good swimmer and just loves it.  I really wanted her to learn to stroke consistently...which she did learn to do, but is pretty lazy about it.  Her teachers thought she showed great talent and wanted her to join the swim team...i was like, uhhhh lets just get her swimming first!  She doesn't want to play soccer this season, but wants to keep swimming.  We have an indoor rec center that I think we'll sign her up with once school settles down.  She can't wait!
