Garden Tour

N got tickets from work for the White House Garden Tour. We decided to go and bring everyone. C has a soccer game so we got a late start. When we got there I couldn't believe the line!!! I guess I thought since we had tickets it wouldn't be bad. But, i think half the town had tickets!!! It was a neat experience. We got to walk around the outside of the white house and see a lot of historical trees and such. Don't think we will do it again, but it was nice to "see it" The kids were troopers staying in the stroller almost the entire commute and tour.

Back in Business!!!

Man, I have been having problems with my technology lately!  A few weeks ago my charger for my laptop fried and I had to wait for Apple to send me a new one.  Well, guess what it happened again!!!  So this time they wanted me to take it to the apple store closest to me.  Fun times...Lemmetellyou  if they make me do that again, our love affair may be over!  I drug all three kids to the mall where my iphone was stolen and  got another charger.  Amidst all this I lost the memory card for my camera.  But found it today :)  Okay, all that to say I am ready to go again!

Daddy's sister came to town to visit us this past weekend and we had fun seeing a few sites with her and getting to catch up.  I think everyone who comes to visit us leaves thinking they need a vacation!  Hope she is not too exhausted.  We'll put you to work around here.  Watch out!

We walked downtown and had a picnic at the steps of Jefferson Memorial and attempted to see the famous Cherry Blossoms but the blooms had already fallen.  We had fun anyways.  Afterwards, we took her to the Smithsonian Museum of American History and said hello to C3PO (J's favorite star wars character)

Easter Festivities :)

What a wonderful Easter it was today :)  The weather was absolutely perfect!!!  We dyed eggs last night and then the Easter bunny hid them this morning.  We attended church and had friends over for dinner.  It was a great day!  Celebrate HIS resurrection all year :)  He is risen!!!

Trip to see Friends!!!

C was on spring break this past week and we took advantage of the time off to visit our sweet friends. We met 2 assignments ago and have still managed to visit each other fairly often :) It is so fun for our kids to see each other and remember things about trips in the past. G and I met when our oldest kids were babies and we would walk every day and solve all the worlds our problems. We would talk about nap schedules, military matters, friends, family, we have such great memories from all those walks. It is so awesome for me to see how much she has grown as a mom and a christian! She has gone through a lot lately and her light is still shining bright and I am so proud of her. Her kids are super sweet and everyone played great together! We pretty much laid low...talking until the wee hours :) Miss you friend, glad we live closer.
