Sewing Projects...Birthdays...ya know, fun stuff :)

I have dusted off the ole machine again and am ready to unviel C's new spring line!  Ha!  Yeah right :)  I made her two outfits, and won't ever sew for other people.  It would stress me out too much!  But these turned out cute.  We'll see if they are good enough for C.  She is mighty picky these days.  All about comfort, so the elastic waistband should be perfect!

Also recovered our walmart patio chairs.  They were yuck and needed to be replaced but I couldn't find new ones anywhere!!!!  So i found some fabric on clearance at fabric.com and made new ones!  Pretty impressed with myself.  I have never done anything like that before so it was out of the box and i don't have my sewing friend mer to bounce ideas off of.  Martha has been busy, so I was all alone.  Aren't very many domestic folks round these parts...  I took the kids' easel outside and told them if they got marker on my new pillows they would be in BIG trouble.  Guess what...I just went outside to take these pictures and look what I found.   Ho Hum.  The life of three kids :)  I love them anyways!

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday :)  Williams Sonoma pancakes in bed, church, lunch, my favorite cake in the whole world, shopping, bike ride and picnic all with my wonderful familia.  I heart them.  They rock my socks off.
Check out this super cute apron my sweet friend made me!!!!  Stylin!

Mother's Day--one week late

I had a wonderful mother's day! It started the day before when I was presented with this...

I actually got to choose what I wanted. Man, that husband of mine is a keeper. I heart him! C loves celebrations and was so excited about helping him out! I think she said happy mother's day over a hundred times. It was really sweet. She brought me Williams Sonoma pancakes in bed and I was spoiled all day.

We live near a really really neat bike trail and we drive by it every day and are sad because our kids are not old enough to keep up on bikes and we have three...so they won't fit in a bike trailer. Then one day N had this grand idea to get TWO bike trailers...So we did and we have been riding the trails and loving it! Seriously so much fun! There are a lot of hills and I haven't quite figured out my gears on them. Sometimes I have to get out and walk up them, the kids yell from the trailer, "Oh Mom's doing the walk of shame!  It's pretty funny! I just have to laugh..Maybe before we move I can make it up all the hills without walking!!! I forgot to takes pics of me and my kiddos and of the pretty flower hanging baskets they got me, but the trailers were mother's/father's day presents so it counts!!! I am so blessed that God picked and trusted me with these three blessings. I love being their mom.

these two...

self portrait by C

are in love with each other. As I type they are downstairs talking and playing like two old soles. It warms my heart to hear them interact. C is so loving and sweet with J. She teaches him, involves him, cares for him... He adores her, follows her, and learns from her. They are such great kids, I am so lucky!!! They will come around with G one day, right? :)
